PLAYDATE


I was going outside I was playing with my friend named Ava. I was riding my bike and so was Ava. We were riding in loops. It was so cold and windy. "Do you want to come to our house now?"said Ava's mom.

"Sure, "my mom said. I was excited. Ava has a fun backyard. It has monkey bars and a slide and swings. We were playing  drive threw. To play we had to go to the window and Ava's brother Bradly worked there and then we ordered chips and juice. They finally came we were about to climb Ava's fence and then my mom said "time to go." 

"Bye!" I said.

    I can feel the Connecticut chill in the area as you were riding bikes with Ava. Were you relieved to get out of the cold once you got inside?

    It was amazing how the wind was so much calmer at Ava’s house than our house. You’re getting good at dialogue in your stories. ❤️ mom

    One way to always make a story better it to add something about the weather. I love how you bring in the Connecticut wind!

    I can just see Bradley dispensing chips and juice from the window. You take us with you to Ava's backyard. Fun!

It was a regular school day. We were working on unfinished work. It was so fun (It was actually pretty boring). "Come sit on the floor," my teacher said sternly to my class. He sounded mad. We were surprised but Nate had a grin on his face. Then, Mr. Stillway jumped up. It was the fastest I ever saw him move. He said, "Happy April Fools Day!" We were so mad at him. Cornbread

"Can I make cornbread?" I asked my mom as she was still laying in her bed this morning.  "Sure," she said. "Go turn the oven on. Press Bake. 3-5-0. Start." I repeated "bake 3.5.0. start" as I headed back towards the kitchen. My mom finally came down and pulled up a recipe on her phone. She got some of the ingredients for me, like the baking powder, flour, and sugar.  I got to work measuring and mixing. I asked my mom how much butter to put in the microwave. She said, "Five and 1/3 tablespoons." I cut the butter and put it in the bowl my mom handed me. I put the butter in the microwave for thirty seconds and got back to mixing. I poured the batter into the pan and mom put it in the over. That's when we heard the microwave beep. "What's in the microwave? Did you remember to put the butter in?" she asked. "Oh no!" I thought.
