A Slice of Adi

It is the last day of slice of life. I did all 30 days of writing. It was hard to come up with ideas. I like to look at all the comments. I also like to look back at my writing from last year and see how much I improved this year. Now I am so good at typing. I think I will do it again next year. 

My neighbors were coming to my house for dinner. My dad was making Greek Chicken and tzatziki sauce. I was happy because Jack and Grace were coming over. They live across the street. When they finally came over, we played some games and then it was time for dinner. The grownups sat together and the kids sat together. We ate. We liked the bread. Everyone likes the bread. We also got to have Gatorade. We had chicken, the sauce, the bread, and potatoes. My favorite was the cucumbers and tomatoes. It was so good.   Then we played a game after we ate. We had to scare people. Whenever you scare someone, you get a point.  At the end of the night, we played that Rose and Grace were babies. Jack and I had to go to work. We had to leave Rose and Grace alone but they wouldn't stay.  Before Jack and Grace, we had dessert. Wren made some good sugar cookie bars. Then it was time for Jack and Grace to leave. I was pretty tired. It's fun having friends who live right across the street.

Today I had art. We were making balloon dogs. Ms. D was in there making us balloon dogs. I brought mine home and left it with my Mimi because I had dance. Mimi gave my mom, and it was broken. "I'm so mad!" I said. Then I was trying to make my own balloon dog for ages. It was really hard. But then I got the hang of it. I was doing kind of good because I'm pretty smart.  Then my mom said, "You're doing it." I got more confident and I did it. 

I have a dog named Otis. He is really small and skinny. But he is 13 years old in human years and he is 91 in dog years. I was watching him when he was outside. I ran to the back and I watched him from the back. Then, he wagged his tail. Whenever he wags tail he is going back inside. So I got prepared to race him. I wanted to win. We were running and running. Then we got to the porch. Otis won even though he is smaller than me. I was mad for the rest of the day. Today is National Pet Day. At school I shared about my dog Otis and how I like to have races with him. 

I WAS HAPPY THAT IT WAS A HALF DAY. IT WAS ALMOST MAY. 9 DAYS UNTILL MY BIRTHDAY.  ON THURSDAY I HAVE  BALLET.

I cannot write today... I am having a bad day. I used all my energy at dance class, now I cannot write or do my homework. I cannot write today, I have no ideas and nothing exciting happened. My mom is typing, She signed me up for this.  I cannot write today... Maybe not ever again. 

I had always wanted to go to the dollar store. I begged my mom to go to the dollar store. She said,¨yes¨. I got so exited. My grandma came over. We asked her if she wanted to come. She said,¨sure.¨ We were talking about which one to go to.  ¨ We could go to the one near Tree land¨my grandma said.  ¨Sure,¨ my mom said. When we got there it looked so boring. It was miserable. ¨Is this what you have been dreaming of?¨ my mom said.   ¨HECK NO! I NEVER WANT TO GO BACK¨ I said madly.

Today I decided to play spies. I got the idea when I was bored. I was putting stuff in my special box. I found my binder. I was trying to put a lot of stuff in it, just like my sister, Wren. I was thinking what to do next. Then, I got an idea. I was going to make a map of my whole entire house, from the basement to all the way upstairs. I got a piece of paper and I started drawing the kitchen and then the whole rest of the house. It was really good. I showed my mom. She was doing a workout, so I went down in the basement with her. I kept drawing. I drew the basement and upstairs. I plan to use my map to spy on people. 

It was Monday morning. I was at school and we usually we do ST math, Iready,or sometimes we do word searches in the morning. We had to do an Iready mastery test. We had never done a mastery test. I was thinking what a mastery test was. I logged on to it. It was just a test. It was easy for me to do. I was wondering what my score was all day. The next day we had to do the same test. I was still wondering what my score was. I finished the test. It was multiplication. We had to another test. It was division. Now I was wondering what all of my scores were. It was the end of the day. My class and me were standing in a circle for closing circle. ¨Adi was the only one in the class who got 100% in all three of the tests¨ my teacher said. I was proud of myself. 

 I was going to art. Me and Maya were wearing the same romper. Maya was sitting alone at her table. Ms. Booska said, "Pick a table to sit at," and she chose to sit at my table. We watched a video on the smartboard. We were learning about an artist who made dog balloon sculptures out of metal and mirrors. We watched a video on how to make the balloon dog on our paper. We had to paint, cut, glue, and trace. We only got to tracing and painting today. At the end of art, mine looked good even though it wasn't done. Then Ms. Booska handed out balloon dogs to five people in the class. She said, "You can keep them." I didn't get one. She said each week she is going to give one out. I hope I get one next week.

My class was going out to recess today. We were going down the stairs. I was wondering if we would have to run since we were late. When we got down the stairs, we went the way that we have to run. Then I knew we had to run. I wasn't happy. My teacher was calling our names to run. I was running with Mckenzie. We were done running. I was out of breath. Then, I was playing with Maya, Olivia, and Ava. We were playing on the green playground. We went down the slide together, all at the same time. Then we were making obstacle course. We had to go down the slide, up the rocks, in the tunnel, and down the little slide. Then we made a different obstacle course. We went down the slide, ran around to the stairs, down the slide, run around and back down the slide. Then the bell rang and we had to go inside. I had a fun recess.. 

 We were standing on the rug in the classroom. Ms. Pasmeg said, "Put your clipboards away and then we will do Go Noodle." Then, Ms. Pasmeg picked the Go Noodle. It was my favorite one. It's called "Ravioli." It's really fun because it has a lot fun moves like running in place. I also know how to sing it and do all the dance moves. We were singing, "Ravioli is the stuff for me. Do I have it in my hair? Yes?" Then it was over. I was sad because I like it . 

 Today we did an SBAC practice. We got to do it all by ourselves. I thought it was fun, but I didn't get to finish. It was the typing one. I like to type. It took so long. So, we had recess late and a short snack. I had to rush to eat. 

                                 G O O D D A Y 1. I had a good bagel for breakfast. 2. I watched my favorite movie on TV. 3. I went to the movie theater to see Super Mario. 4. I sang songs on the ride home. 5. I watched more TV. 6. I played Crossy Road on my kindle. 7. I ate from Little Pub for dinner. 8. I played mommy and baby with my sisters. 9. I had a good sleep.

  I was on my way to soccer practice. In the car I was wondering if I was going to have the same people on my team as last year. I got there and I saw a lot of the same people and a lot of different people. We did toe taps,running,sisers and we played monkey in the middle. We had to make a big circle in order to play. I had fun.

I was going on a walk with my neighbors named Jack and Grace. I was wondering if they were going to ride their bikes because I wanted to ride mine. We went outside to get what we were riding on. Jack and Grace were across the street and Jack was on his bike and Grace was on her scooter. I was going to ride my bike. We went across the street to ride with them. We walked by Sebby´s house and he was outside playing. ¨Do you want to walk with us?¨ Jacks mom said ¨Sure¨ he said as we kept walking down Chickadee Lane. I was wondering if Ava would  walk with us because she lives on Chickadee but she did not come out. We went back to Sebby´s house to drop him off. We were there for a long time and then we went home. 

¨Do you want to go to the beach with Ava,¨my mom asked me and Rose.  ¨Sure,¨we said excitedly. I was wondering if we could go in the water. It is like my mom could read my mind because she said we need to wear are bathing suits.  We went home to pack all stuff and to make our lunches. We were going to be a little late.   Rose and I made the sandwiches. We made PB&J and we got the beach bag, the beach blanket, and the beach chair. We were almost ready. We only had to put on our sunscreen. We headed into the car but it was already the time that we had to be at the beach. ¨Weŕe so late and Ava´s already there,¨ I thought. We got there we will looking for Ava. We found her and she was already playing in the water. We still had to eat our lunch. It was so good  and then we got to play in the water. We were cold because the water was very cold. We got wet to our waists. After a few minutes we came back to dry off. ¨Do you want to go over there?¨ Ava said. ¨Sure,¨ we said.

   In our house, many nights, at dinner, we share the best part of our day (our peach) and the worst part of the day (our pit). Today, we spent the whole day in New York City. We walked around and then we saw Wicked. On our ride home, we shared our peaches and pits. Our mom wrote them down and that's our slice for the day: Adi:  My peach was watching Wicked because I liked it when the winged monkeys were flying over my head. My pit was being itchy. We even had to stop at CVS to buy lotion. I had to smell them all to find one that was just right. Wren:  My p each was breakfast because we went to a restaurant and ordered Oreo waffles. They were waffles with Oreos in the batter, chocolate syrup on top, ice cream, and Oreo crumble. It was delicious. My pit was that it was very crowded in the city. There were a lot of people bumping into me. Rose:  My peach was walking around the city because I liked walking past all the stores. My pit was driving home because there were so many bumps.

I was stumped on what to write. I wanted to write about dinner. So I tried to make it very memorable so I could write about it. But I forgot to make it memorable so I couldn't write about dinner. ¨You can write about going to the store,¨ my mom said. ¨No,¨ I said. I didn't want to do anything that my mom told me to do because she had horrible ideas.  ¨You can write about how you didn't know what to write about.¨ ¨No,¨ I said. I was thinking what I could write about. I finally had an idea. I was thinking so much. My mom actually had a good idea when she said that I could write about how I couldn't figure out any of my Slice of Life. I was so excited to write my Slice of Life and I was relieved that I didn't have to write it because I figured out how to use speech to text. That´s when I say it and it writes it for me. So really everything turned out okay. 

 

¨What time is it?¨I said. It was Easter morning and my mom said yesterday that we can all go downstairs at 7:00. I was so excited because we always get to go on a Easter egg hunt and the Easter bunny gives us gifts. It was finally 7:00 and we raced down stairs and sat in front of the Easter baskets. My mom and dad were making coffee so we had to wait for them. They came. We opened our Easter baskets. I got a Encanto lego set. And then we did the Easter egg hunt. I found 19 eggs. I was having a great Easter so far.

I had just woken up. I was so bored. "Can I make biscotti?" I asked my mom.  "Sure," she replied. I used the purple phone to look for a recipe. I was using a good one that I always use. I got all the ingredients and I started to add them all together. When I was done I was hungry but the biscotti still had to cook. So, I took a shower so time would go by faster. By the time I was done showering the biscotti was ready to eat. It was so good.

¨Let´s go,¨"I said to my mom and sister. We were going to a dance . We had to wear neon or white clothes because it was Glow Dance. I ate my pizza so quickly so I could get dressed for the dance. I was thinking, ¨this pizza is so good, but I have to go quick!¨ When I finished eating, I raced upstairs. I went into my room and got my dress and put it on. I was almost ready. I ran back downstairs to pick out some accessories. I picked out a glow ring and bracelets. I also had a headband. ¨Mom! We have to go!¨ I called. We finally drove to the dance. When we got there, I saw my friends Ava and Olivia. I could not wait for a fun night.

I was in Boston and I was coming back from a long walk. We were so tired. "wow that is a BIG slide" Wren said. "where?" I said. She pointed to it. It was not big it was HUGE. "Can we go please?"we said at the same time.  "Fine," my mom said. We were running so fast. I was so exited. We finally got there. Rose did not want to go she said it was to high. We had to climb a rock wall and pull our selves up but it was worth it. And I do not think Rose would be able to get up. We went down I was not scared at all. "Wee," we said "Again," we said". 

I was going to Target I wanted to get something to wear for easter. "I like this and Ava also has it" I said. It was a blue romper and it has short sleeves and long pants.  "You can have it," my Mom replied. On Monday morning I decided to put on my blue romper. I looked great. That morning in my classroom I was doing ST math and then Ava came in. She went to the closet to unpack and take off her sweatshirt. She had the same romper on as me. We didn’t plan it. We are TWINS!

I was going outside I was playing with my friend named Ava. I was riding my bike and so was Ava. We were riding in loops. It was so cold and windy. "Do you want to come to our house now?"said Ava's mom. "Sure, "my mom said. I was excited. Ava has a fun backyard. It has monkey bars and a slide and swings. We were playing   drive threw. To play we had to go to the window and  Ava's brother Bradly worked there and then we ordered chips and juice. They finally came we were about to climb Ava's fence and then my mom said "time to go."  "Bye!" I said.  

I woke up. I was heading downstairs to watch TV. My sister was downstairs doing legos. "Can I do legos with you?" I asked.  "Sure. do you want to have a contest? Whoever makes the biggest and prettiest lego set?" "Sure," I said. I was making a jail and she was making a cafe. I needed to make a big cage for the prisoners and I had to make beds for them to sleep also, I had to make an office for the police 👮‍♀️. My jail was going to be red, white , black and grey. we were watching a show while we were building. The next day I was so close to being done. I just had to put one more piece on. Then I finally finished. It looked so good.

I was sick and I wanted to get a new bathrobe. I had an old bathrobe that was falling apart. I asked my mom for a new one and she said"come look on my computer for one." Then I looked for one that would come tomorrow but there was not a good one that I liked. "This one is very pretty," my mom said. It was blue purple and pink and it had dots on it. I kind of liked it. "Sure,"I said. It would come on Friday. It finally came and it was beautiful. I tried it on. It was a little big but I liked it. I haven’t taken it off ever since it came. It was soft and fluffy.  A few minutes later ... my bathrobe had ketchup on it. I was eating dinner. I screamed. I felt angry because my new bathrobe was already dirty. I didn't want it to stain. My mom used paper towel to wipe it off. "This is the best bathrobe EVER" I said happily. "I am happy you like it,"  said my mom.
